SIZE:
Slade has very good size for a 2021 Dual Threat QB at 6'2" 195 lbs. He plays both sides of the field. Plays with a sense of urgency, ready to attack the defense, whether on the run or in the air. A legit dual threat QB who's skilled at finding his way through a defense.
ACCURACY:
He gives his receivers the ability to make a play on the ball. His throws are made with a tight spiral, making for a very catchable ball. Good anticipation and timing of his receivers routes. Will improve accuracy with more consistency in delivery.
ARM STRENGTH:
High velocity throws made at short/intermediate range. He can fire the ball into tight windows of space or let it fly over defensive coverage.
RELEASE:
Slade's a left handed QB who throws with an over the top delivery. A three quarter extension, allows for the ball to get off in a hurry.
THROW ON RUN:
Very athletic QB who can be quite dangerous out on the outside. He a pure dual threat who can shift gears in a hurry. Shows excellent vision downfield while on the run.
FOOTWORK:
This is an area of strength for Slade. Very difficult to contain within the pocket while being elusive out in the open field. His steps are sharp and his movement is smooth. Displays very good speed, with separation bursts.
POISE:
Very confident in his abilities as a QB. He controls the pace of a game and can turn it up at any moment, a playmaker.
DECISION MAKING:
Very decisive with his throws downfield, wasting very little time getting the ball off. Taking chances when he sees an opportunity, trusting in his receivers.
Touch:
This will be an area Slade will continue to improve on, creating a softer delivery when needed. Tight trajectory on his throws at longer distances.
