SIZE:
Tavin has good size for a 2028 Dual Threat QB at 5'10" 145 lbs. A quick hitting QB who gets the ball out in a hurry. A tough QB who sits in the pocket with patience, waiting for his receivers' break.
ACCURACY:
His throws are made with high percentage results, many of them made at short and intermediate range. His throws are in-line with his receivers.
ARM STRENGTH:
Throws made to include high velocity, getting through the secondary in a hurry. Of the few deep passes, he tended to lose some velocity at greater range.
RELEASE:
Throws with an over the top delivery, including a high release point. Solid footwork as he works into his set up.
THROW ON RUN:
Good quickness and speed as he gets himself to the outside. Strong forward momentum on his throws, as he locks in with his target.
FOOTWORK:
Good agility within the pocket, moving in all directions while creating additional space for himself.
POISE:
Picks up on pressure. Good feel for the space around him. He’s a confident QB who not afraid to take chances downfield.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Tavin uses the entire backfield as his work area. Can sit in the pocket or take it to the outside, opening up additional passing lanes.
DECISION MAKING:
With most of his offensive plays including quick hitters, Tavin does a nice job locating his primary targets. With more game experience, he should be able to enhance his decision making skills.
TOUCH:
An area a strength, adding touch on short bubble screens as a well on fade routes.
