Sports has been something that I have been involved in at an early age. My parents have pictures of me as a baby on the court of AAU basketball tournaments that my sisters competed in throughout high school. In addition, I enjoyed watching my cousin play baseball as a pitcher working his way through high school to JUCO and ultimately as a closer on a D1 roster. These influences in my life resulted in me playing sports as soon as possible. I have enjoyed playing soccer, baseball, and basketball, but throughout the past few years, I have had coaches and ex-collegiate and professional athletes tell me that I have a gift and the potential to play football at a higher level. I am determined to work as hard as possible to turn that potential into a reality. Not only do I have my cousin, coaches, and ex-athletes to guide me, but I am learning how to apply mental discipline and emotional control from my Grandfather, Father, Sister, and Uncle's experiences in the military. It will not be easy, but I know that hard work will make me a better person. I will bring my work ethic, and team-first mentality to a college team and always do things the right way. Of course, I want to win, but I know that the best way to do that is with everyone working hard together to succeed.
