SIZE:
Whit has excellent size for a 2024 Pro Style QB at 6’6” 210 lbs. A very tall presence in the backfield, able to see the entire field. Shows very good footwork and agility for a QB of his size. Should have college ready size when entering the collegiate level, adding more bulk to his frame.
ACCURACY:
His throws are made with sharp precision, hitting his receivers while in stride. He’s deadly over the middle with a quick release and compact delivery. Doesn’t lose much on accuracy at longer range.
ARM STRENGTH:
With Whit's size comes arm strength. He can make every throw expected of him. Increased accelerated arm motion, allows for throws made with high velocity at the short and intermediate range. Very effective vertical passing game, with strong throws that extend the field.
RELEASE:
Very skilled at making the right adjustments on the angle of his throws depending on the passing situation. He’s an over the top passer who can go from a fully extended arm motion, down to a tight three quarter delivery. Shows very good footwork prior to release.
THROW ON RUN:
He displays quickness and speed getting to the outside and is very good at picking up potential targets.
FOOTWORK:
Classified as a Pro Style QB but can take the ball in on short running downs. He’s a long stride runner who can pick up chunks of yardage in a hurry. Shows good footwork on his drop backs and prior to set up.
POISE:
Good awareness of incoming pressure, able to create added space for himself. Very confident in his QB abilities, able to lead his team downfield.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Good sense of the traffic around him while keeping focused on the play. Solid footwork on his drop backs and setups.
DECISION MAKING:
He’s a quick thinking QB who’s capable of reading the defense and locating his best option receiver. Works well through his progressions.
TOUCH:
He does a nice job making the right adjustments on the velocity of his throws, creating a softer touch when needed.
