SIZE:
Wilder has very good size for a 2024 Pro Style QB at 6’0” 185 lbs. Stands tall in the pocket, showing good vision of the entire field. He throws with a high release point, adding height to his delivery. Very durable QB with lower body strength, difficult to take down. Strong running QB, taking on would-be tacklers.
ACCURACY:
His throws are right on the mark and in-line with his receivers. Showing good anticipation and timing of his receivers routes. Gives his receivers a chance to make a play on the ball.
ARM STRENGTH:
This is a key attribute for Wilder. He throws the ball with a quick flip of the wrist and increased momentum throughout his follow-through. A dangerous vertical passing game, seeking out big play opportunities.
RELEASE:
His throwing motion is consistent, including an over the top delivery with a full extension.
THROW ON RUN:
Very good mobility to the outside as he maintains his vision downfield. Good body rotation as he squares up with his receivers.
FOOTWORK:
Good mobility in and around the pocket. Can work to add speed and quickness in step.
POISE:
His confidence level continues to grow with more game experience. Looking forward to watching his progression as he works towards becoming an elite QB.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Shows good patience within the pocket, allowing for the play to fully develop. Not easily distracted from the noise around him.
DECISION MAKING:
He does a nice job picking up on his receivers routes and hitting them in stride. Quick reads, taking advantage of defensive lapses.
TOUCH:
Wilder's able to make the proper adjustments to the velocity of his throws for added touch.
