Denver has excellent size for a 2021 Pro Style QB at 6’2” 190 lbs. He’s very durable within the pocket, able to sit back patiently as he waits for the play to develop. A tall platform, able to oversee the line of scrimmage. Throws with a high release point, adding height to his throws.
A major improvement in Denver’s game is the consistency with his footwork prior to set up and also with his throwing mechanics. These are extremely important for accuracy purposes. His throws are in-line with his receivers, adding good ball placement and anticipation.
A finesse passer who can turn up the heat when the situation calls for it. High velocity throws made within the secondary, firing the ball in tight windows of space as well as extending the field with his vertical passing game.
He throws with a fully extended arm motion, giving him added momentum to his delivery. An over the top passer with a high release point, adding extra height to his delivery.
THROW ON RUN:
This was an area of improvement for Denver. He’s been working hard in training, getting this part of his game down, and we should see the results this upcoming season. An athletic QB who shows good quickness getting to the outside, displaying solid fundamentals while seeking out a target.
Much improved in this category, showing improved quickness and speed. Does a nice job setting up in the pocket with a balanced stride and foot placement.
His confidence is building as he perfects his game. With his size and skills, Denver could become an elite QB high school prospect.
He’s a tall presence in the backfield, able to see the entire field for potential targets. Shows good patience and timing with his receivers. Not easily distracted, while remaining focused on the play.
He’s able to hit his primary target s with good reads and decisive throws. With more game experience, Denver should be able to improve on his ability to work through his progressions.
This is an area of strength for Denver, he’s very good at creating a catchable ball with a soft touch. He’s able to adjust the velocity of his throws at every level, short, intermediate and long.
