My name is Carter Bir. I am a Texas 6A Varsity Quarterback. My teammates have counted on me to be a strong, solid leader. Coaches and teachers who believe in potential and can bring out the best in others have significantly impacted my life. I’ve learned that it takes both God-given talent and commitment to be great at anything. I am very fortunate have a home life and resources that have helped me develop and stay on track with school and sports. Over the past two years I have helped my teammates to better support and look out for each other and for those less fortunate. As QB, I am calm and patient under pressure with the ability to escape the pocket and complete the pass. I am 16 years old, 6’1” and 180 lbs. Over the next year I will continue to build size and strength with a realistic goal of reaching 195lbs. I will also continue to work on speed and agility and take my 40 yard dash from 4.69 to 4.55. While open to all 4-year schools, I am most interested in those that will prepare me for a career in large animal veterinary medicine and offer a competitive football program and coaching team. I look forward to meeting you and would welcome the chance to join you for your summer football camp. -Carter Bir

Carter has very good size for a 2019 QB at 6’1” 185 lbs. He throws the ball with a high release point, giving more height on delivery. Works well in the pocket with good agility for greater visibility.
His throws are in-line with his receivers routes with good ball placement. Good anticipation of his receivers routes. Loses a bit of accuracy on his deep passes.
He’s able to make all of the required throws with good velocity. His vertical game is solid, able to stretch the field with deep passes over the secondary.
Carter has an over the top delivery with a fully extended arm motion. He does a nice job adjusting the angle of his delivery when space around him is limited.
THROW ON RUN:
Shows very good athleticism while getting to the outside. Able to square up with his receivers, while hitting his targets on the go. Strong forward momentum on his delivery.
He’s a long stride running QB who can pick up yards in a hurry. Shows good mobility and balance while on the run. Works well in and around the pocket.
Carter's not easily distracted by the noise around him, staying focused downfield. Shows good patience as he waits for the play to fully develop.
He does a nice job avoiding incoming pressure, able to set up in the pocket, while creating space for himself.
Carter's able to pick up on his primary targets with solid reads of the defense. Very decisive with his throws, getting the ball to his receivers in a hurry.
He’s able to take off something on the velocity of his throws at the short and intermediate range, creating a softer touch in certain passing situations.
